Hi I’m Ellyn!
My husband and I, Daniel live in an over 100 year old farmhouse in Northeast Ohio. It’s just the two of us and our dog Jethro. I grew up a country girl. Showing my animals in 4-H, swimming in creeks, making mud pies, hunting, you name it. Anything outdoors is my love language.
I’ve always had a knack for healthy living and cooking. When I was in middle school I was always in the kitchen trying to make a healthier version of not so healthy foods, and I still do it to this day.
Now that I’m older, I’ve taken this to the next level by learning how to grow my own food, fermenting foods, and living as naturally as possible.
My full time job is being a wedding and elopement photographer. I absolutely love it and the business I’ve built. It’s taken me all over the U.S. and introduced me to some amazing people.
A few facts about me:
- I love to travel. My favorite place I’ve been is Kauai, Hawaii where my wedding was!
- I am a follower of Christ
- Steak and mashed potatoes is my favorite food, hands down.
- I went to college for food science, but then dropped out to pursue photography full time, but I love food so much and have a great understanding of the science behind it!
- I started my sourdough starter in December 2022 and now I can’t imagine my life without it!
- I have a youtube channel to go along with most every blog post so check it out!
